アークヒルズは、1986年に民間初の大規模再開発事業として誕生。職住近接、都市と自然の共生、文化の発信を具現化した都市開発事業です。シンボルでもある桜並木や、７つのガーデンは、二十数年の歳月を経て「都市の生態系」を育み続け、都心に季節のある風景をもたらしています。ヒートアイランド現象の緩和や都市緑化を通じたコミュニティ活動による地域貢献が評価され、2006年には国際的環境賞「National ENERGY GLOBE AWARD japan」を受賞。また、毎週土曜日の朝市「ヒルズマルシェ」や、桜祭りをはじめとする歳時イベント、コンサートなど、人々の交流や地域コミュニティの活性化など、つねに街としての成長を続けています。

About ARK Hills ARK Hills is where the Hills concept first took shape ? the creation of a compact city where people can live near their workplace, nature can coexist in the city and culture thrives. For more than two decades, the symbolic avenues of cherry tree and seven gardens of ARK Hills have grown and reintroduced a natural ecosystem in the city, enriching the urbanscape with the beauty of the seasons. In recognition of its contribution to the betterment of the urban environment through its mitigation of the "heat island" phenomenon and community activities to "green" the city, ARK Hills was awarded the "National ENERGY GLOBE AWARD Japan" in 2006. Today this unique city continues to blaze the trail for sustainable urban development as the venue for lunchtime concerts and a variety of seasonal events such as the Sakura Festival and through engaging programs and activities to promote interaction and build a sense of community.
